The Honey Badgers - Philadelphia Folk Festival 2021 Excerpt

In August 2021, we had the great privilege of being a part of the virtual lineup for the 2021 Philadelphia Folk Festival. We had grand plans to record a spectacular set in Acadia National Park while vacationing in Maine. Unfortunately, the year continued to throw us curveballs. We were exposed to COVID in Maine, drove home ten hours to quarantine, and subsequently lab-tested positive. We really didn't want to miss out on the fun of the folk fest, so we carried our instruments and recording gear a mile into the woods of Pennsylvania to film our set at a secret location. The sun was setting quickly, the cicadas were roaring, and our voices were not in tip top shape, but we still really love this video. It captures a surreal and weighty moment in time that we’re glad to have a record of.

We’re grateful for science and vaccines and a quick recovery. We’re so grateful to still be able to safely connect with audiences and perform our music even when we can’t be together in person. We hope you enjoy this excerpt from our Philly Folk set - and we really really hope we’ll be together in person for a show this year!
